AASHE Posters & 10K Makes Branding
The Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education’s (AASHE’s) annual conference is the largest stage in North America to exchange effective models, policies, research, collaborations and transformative actions that advance sustainability in higher education and surrounding communities. I presented two posters at AASHE about a sustainable makeathon that my student organization ran last spring. This makeathon was called 10,000 Makes. I was aiming to inspire other groups and get people excited about the idea that through making we can intertwine design and sustainability. 10,000 Makes is an opportunity for students to build connections and collaborate across colleges while building prototypes that tackle real world issues. In one exhilarating weekend, students imagine and create, develop new skills, and win prizes. I created the event branding for promotional materials and marketing.
